And to say it feels surreal is an understatement.
When I first released Million Dollar Builder back in 2018, I had no idea the impact it would have. It was written from two decades of hard-earned lessons coaching residential builders, the wins, the near-misses, and everything in between. I wanted to help builders make more profit, create better systems, and build a business that didn’t rely entirely on them.
The response blew me away.

The Writing Journey

I wrote Million Dollar Builder 2.0 between airports, coaching calls, and family life; most of it at 35,000 feet. Airplanes became my quiet place.
There were times I wrote for five hours straight without looking up. Other days, twenty minutes felt like pulling teeth. But I kept going, driven by one question:
“Have I given it everything I’ve got?”
The first draft was over 700 pages long. I had to cut out great stories and lessons I loved; as writers say, you’ve got to kill your darlings. But I knew the goal wasn’t to write more; it was to make every page valuable for builders ready to create real change.
This book is the culmination of 20 years of coaching builders through transformation. It’s not theory. It’s the blueprint.

Final Thought
Writing this book reminded me of one simple truth:
Building a business is a lot like building a home. The plans evolve. The materials change. The process challenges you. But when you finally step back and see what you’ve created; it’s worth every late night, every doubt, and every adjustment along the way.
